Calendar of significant and memorable dates. January 4

On this day, Louis Braille was born (January 4, 1809 - January 6, 1852), a French tiflopedagogue.

The world is beautiful in a variety of shapes and colors. People, visually impaired and blind, are deprived of the opportunity to enjoy Earth beauty with their eyes, deprived of the opportunities available for those who can see. And this is when the true human nature manifests itself: man extends a hand of support and help to man.

The alphabet for the blind is created, later named Braille, in honor of the inventor Louis Braille, born in 1809 in the French town of Coupvray.

The library offers material dedicated to the life of the scientific elite.
