The study explores a wide range of problems related to the theoretical and methodological basis for models of sustainable development, ways of reforming the budgetary, fiscal, monetary, and social policy in the context of integration processes, assessing their impact on the real economy. The influence of global factors of development and the need to adapt to the requirements of the European standards of macroeconomic management and the terms and conditions for obtaining loans and financial aid, the prospects for overcoming the crisis in the society are considered. The effects of the financial and economic, political crisis, excessive openness of the economy in the context of threats to the state`s economic security are critically evaluated. The conceptual framework and practical measures to improve regional policy, enhancing innovation and investment policies to stimulate the development of economic sector are proposed.
