On this day, the world community celebrates the Day of the European Union. The European Union is an economic and political union of 28 independent Member States located in Europe.
The European Union is a unique entity, focused primarily on effective regional integration. Common standards and core values, quality and respect for human rights, collective security issues make the euro area the most trusted partner for its immediate neighbors and for all other countries in the world.
European Union Information Center was opened at the basis of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. The main purpose of the activity of the European Union Information Center of ChPNU is:
- disseminating information about the EU and its policies to the Chernihiv community;
- informing students and academic staff of the University about EU programs and activities;
- assisting in European integration research;
- facilitating the participation of students, graduate students and staff of the University in events and debates on European issues.
