WORLD DAY AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING

On October 18, 2007, on the initiative of the European Parliament, the day of combating human trafficking was founded as a day of consolidating awareness-raising activities regarding the phenomenon of human trafficking, especially women and children, public concern for this phenomenon and visualizing the problem at the global level.

Today, the problem of combating human trafficking has become extremely urgent for our state. Human trafficking is one of the most widespread violations of human rights and freedoms. Victims of trafficking in human beings are men, women, and children for the purpose of forced labor, sexual exploitation, poverty, for the drug transportation, and illegal organ trade. Modern human trafficking is a profitable industry, a well-organized transnational criminal business. So be careful, take care of your own safety!
