At the present stage the scientific library of the Chernihiv National University of Technology is an extensive complex of departments and sectors that provide readers with various library services; this is an important information and cultural centre that provides library-bibliographic and information services for the educational, scientific and educational processes of the university.

The general fund of the library includes more than 545,000 copies of books, about 200 titles of periodicals, 4,200 electronic publications and almost 2,000 titles of educational and methodical publications.

Innovative processes are actively introduced into the work of the library. The priority direction is the creation of a powerful electronic library. Now the electronic catalogue of the National Library of Chernihiv National University of Technology contains 400,000 records.

Our users have access to the bibliographic information, full-text databases, electronic catalogue, electronic library, and electronic archive of CNUT (IRChNUT) on the basis of software with open access DSpace. The electronic archive of the University IRChNUT has 6 thousand full texts of documents: dissertations, abstracts of dissertations, conference materials, monographs, educational and methodical publications, scientific research, and periodicals of the National Technical University, articles and takes 42nd place in Ranking Web of Worlds Repositories by Webometrics in Ukraine.

The library of CNUT supports the sites of scientific journals of the university. The editorial staff of the professional journal Vestnik Polesie (The Bulletin of Polissia) is active, which was indexed in 2016 in the ESCI database (Emerging Sources Citation Index) on the Web of Science (Thomson Reuters).

The National University of Science and Technology places scientific publications universities in national and international abstracts, science-metric databases, namely: "Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine" and "Ukrainian Science" of the National Library of Ukraine named after VI Vernadsky, CrossRef, Index Copernicus, Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources (ROAD), EBSCO, BASE: Bielefeld Academic Search Engine, open journal system (OJS - Open Journal Systems), ResearchBib (international multidisciplinary database of scientific journals), WorldCat, RINC, Wikipedia, search engine Google Academy .

The library is an active member of the Ukrainian Library Association.

On the basis of the scientific library there is the School of Library Innovation. Regular classes are held where innovative directions of library work are examined, domestic and foreign experience is studied, creative ideas are accumulated, and their own scientific research is approved for implementation.

The library provides a bibliographic description of scientific publications for 9 international styles in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

There is a V.K. Bagin gallery in the library, where art and creative works of Chernihiv artists are held, book presentations and other creative events are held. The "Rainbow" club is working, which organizes meetings with prominent personalities of our region. The scientific library of Chernihiv National University of Technology produces a regional professional publication - Information Bulletin "Bibliocurier".

The activity of the university library is aimed at creating the necessary conditions for the students' academic and research activities and contributes to the education of harmoniously developed and highly qualified specialists.
